CKFinder 2.0 released!

After almost a year of intensive development, it's a pleasure to release the first stable version of CKFinder 2.0, our next generation Ajax file manager.

CKFinder 2.0 is a complete rewrite of CKFinder 1, which got a bit old after three years since its first release. The new core of CKFinder comes straight from CKEditor, which means that it is now even more powerful thanks to the JavaScript API.

A fresh new release of CKFinder is now available. This is mainly a bugfix release, but also some new features has been introduced:

  • new translations: Czech, Dutch, Greek, Slovene,
  • fixed compatibility with Firefox 3.6,
  • improved error handling on the client side,
  • small but usable improvements in server connectors.

A fresh new release of CKFinder is now available, we are happy to announce that CKFinder is now fully compatible also with CKEditor.

As always, integration with the editor is very easy (see the documentation for more details).

A fresh new release of CKFinder is now available. It contains several new features and some security fixes, so upgrading is strongly recommended.

The list of changes is available on the CKFinder web site, so I'll just mention the two features that you will definitely like: the control over the startup location and the ability to select a thumbnail from the context menu.

CKFinder 1.2 released

A fresh new release of CKFinder is now available. It introduces the so wanted multi-language UI support. German, Italian, Polish and Spanish localizations are already included in the package.

Other than that, we have worked to fix some usability uses regarding popup blockers, as well as adding several new features and fixes to known issues.

    CKFinder 1.1 released

    A brand new version of CKFinder, the Advanced File Manager for FCKeditor, is available. It brings native support for ASP and ColdFusion, other than ASP.NET and PHP.

    This release brings also other news. CKFinder is now compatible with Safari 3 and Opera 9.5, following the same compatibility line present in FCKeditor. Uploaded images can be automatically resized. The full source code is now available for the server side code. Several security fixes are included. Upgrading is highly recommended, and free ;)
